Welcome. Check out the introduction, my note to visitors and something about Firefox.

Explanation for visitors
What does recnik.org offer? Not much for now - for every entry word there is some data like gender, number or article, while descriptions are missing. Note that all words and descriptions are in Macedonian and in cyrillic, so if you are looking for translations, try one of the other search results you got. If you are still here, great, because every visitor may change data for a word, add some etymology information, descriptions and connections to other words. I would like the information on the site to stay available to all, so here is a plea to law savvy people: Help me choose a licence - GNU FDL, something from Creative Commons maybe?
If you already know some Macedonian and would like to donate five minutes of your time, here is how: On the left, you will find a search link and an insert link. Find a word, or insert one if it is not in the database, and choose to edit the data from the administrative functions. Add the first description, which ought to contain the etymology of the word. Different meanings then go in different subdescriptions. Finally, add connections to related words, synonyms for example, by specifying the word number you see in the URL.
You can leave a comment on each page. I appreciate every bit of feedback I get.

Firefox extensions translated to Macedonian
I recently got motivated to translate to Macedonian some Firefox extensions that I use regularly. Some of the translations are currently not included with the official download, so I will make those extensions available here. As soon as the authors update their release to include the Macedonian translation, I will remove my version. It is not my goal to infringe copyrights. If you feel brave enough, you may install from this site; I personally would not install from an unknown source. You may, however, always copy over the locale files.
- "Jump link" (at Mozilla) is stagnant. Maybe it has been abandoned. I am not sure, whether a new version is soon coming out.
- "Image Zoom" (at Mozilla) will hopefully include mk_MK in 0.2.7.
- "Search Engine Ordering" (at Mozilla) is only useful up to Firefox 1.5.
- "Web developer" (at Mozilla) has two versions, one with translations and one trimmed down to just en_US. Be sure to choose the localised one, so you can get the right updates.
- "NoScript" (at Mozilla) already comes with the Macedonian locale.
Folks interested in localisation should check out Babelzilla.
- jump_link-1.3.2-fx-with_mk_MK.xpi
- imagezoom_0.2.6-with_mk_MK.xpi
- search_engine_ordering-0.9.6-fx-with-mk_MK.xpi
- webdeveloper_1.0.2_localized-with-mk_MK.xpi

Welcome
Welcome to recnik.org. The name means "dictionary" in Macedonian. The project`s general idea is to cater to anyone learning or working with the Macedonian language.
To avoid further confusion, this is not an English-Macedonian dictionary. It is intended to include Macedonian words with descriptions in Macedonian, but is far from a finished product. That means you need to type exclusively with cyrillic letters in the search box and you will get very basic morphological information, without descriptions.
If it is not already obvious, this is an alpha-beta version and is intended to be tested. Direct hate mail at vande at this domain.
